Fatal Flaw- South Jordan

I am so excited to write about this band! All of their music is awesome and I didn't really pick "Fatal Flaw" because it is so much better than any other song, I just really like it and probably know it the best along with the song "Lay Down." South Jordan's music is really soothing and just amazing. I really can't talk specifically about the songs, you just need to listen to them.

South Jordan originated on the Indiana University campus (they lived on the street South Jordan). They actually met on coincidence, Michael David Hall won a song writing competition which attracted the attention of other musicians who needed a lead vocalist to start their group. Hall is actually from a town near where I'm from (Chi town represent).

How did I hear about this small band you may ask?
Well, last year my good friend from school just kind of showed me them when we were talking about what music we liked that not many people knew. I was a little skeptical at first because her tastes in music, let's just say, don't always mesh with mine. I couldn't stop listening to this band. I really wanted them to become famous because at this point they only had an EP out. One day I was doing my usual Facebook browsing and I saw a few people from school "like" South Jordan on Facebook (or maybe it was "fan" them at that point). Anyway, I was thinking wow that's strange, I wonder how they all heard of them. Well, as a matter of fact, South Jordan came to Michigan for Dance Marathon and performed and I had no idea! I know, so sad right that I didn't get to see them?

Since last year, South Jordan is rising into fame. They have recorded new songs and have been playing at many more venues. I really recommend that you check them out on Facebook or their page on Myspace.

I recommend listening to Fatal Flaw, Lay Down, Take Your Time, and their new song All of Us (but seriously listen to it all if you have time!)

My Rating (of the band): 9/10
